Service Description

Labour Care: Comprehensive Antenatal, Birth, and Postnatal Support I offer a holistic care package that combines antenatal, birth, and postnatal care. This includes support for both home births and hospital births, along with early labour home assessments, if clinically appropriate. If you prefer or require a hospital birth for medical reasons but are still eligible for early labour home assessments, I can provide these as part of your care package. When the time comes, I can accompany you to the hospital, offering non-clinical care and advocacy at any hospital of your choice. My role is to help you determine the right time to go to the hospital, minimizing the chances of arriving too early and reducing the likelihood of unnecessary interventions. Once at the hospital, I support both you and your birth partner during what can be a stressful time, offering emotional support and assistance in keeping you comfortable and hydrated. Although I am insured to provide clinical care, such as monitoring your baby’s heartbeat, my focus is on understanding your care plan, explaining it clearly, answering any questions, and helping you explore alternatives if needed. Together, we'll ensure your care plan keeps both you and your baby safe. My presence also increases the likelihood of you receiving optimal care and communication from the NHS team. Services Include: 24/7 on-call support when labour begins. Early labour home assessments (when clinically appropriate). Home birth care with the assistance of two midwives, offering water birth options if suitable. - Flexible Birth Options: Whether you choose a home birth or opt for hospital delivery, I'll be there to support you in achieving your desired birth experience. - Breastfeeding Support - Help guide and facilitate you and your baby. - 8 Postnatal Visits at Home over 4 weeks: After the birth, I'll conduct postnatal visits in the comfort of your home, providing essential care and support as you transition into parenthood.
